The EU Delegation to ASEAN (EUD) and ASEAN Secretariat are jointly organising the ASEAN-EU Higher Education Fair 2022 on Saturday, 6 August 2022.

The free-of-charge event will highlight the EU’s commitment to expanding education, research and scholarship opportunities across Europe and Southeast Asia. Graduate and post-graduate students, academics and researchers between the ages of 18 and 35 are invited to watch webinars and country presentations at the virtual fair’s university and country ‘booths’ from 09.30 - 18.00 (JKT/BKK/HAN).

Participants will also have the chance to chat with university representatives, education agencies and scholarship providers, including EU flagship programmes EU SHARE and Erasmus+, to learn more about the advantages of studying and living in South East Asia and Europe.

Since 2018, the EUD has collaborated with the ASEAN Secretariat, EU Member States, and other partners, including youth organisations, to showcase ASEAN-EU higher education opportunities through the annual ASEAN-EU Cooperation and Scholarships Days.

This year, the fair coincides with the 45ᵗʰ anniversary of ASEAN-EU Dialogue Relations and in conjunction with the 55ᵗʰ-anniversary celebrations of the establishment of ASEAN.

The EU’s academic exchanges and overseas study programmes – central to ASEAN-EU relations and a shared priority under the ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership – aim to enhance cooperation between countries, foster knowledge-based societies, improve graduate employability, and boost institutional governance. They also promote multilateralism, universal human rights values, an innovative economy, and sustainable development.
