“EU Urban Heritage” episode 4

Bangkok | 2 April 2022

“EU Urban Heritage" returns on 2 April with the fourth instalment of the Bangkok-based video series.

Touring some of Bangkok’s most iconic heritage buildings, the series — organised by the EU Delegation to Thailand (EUD) and local online publication The Cloud — explores the significant role the preservation of cultural heritage plays in promoting sustainable urban development.

Focusing on the transformation of historic buildings into civic spaces, the latest episode zooms in on King Prajadhipok Museum, a three-level neoclassical architecture that started life as a renowned department store during the reign of King Rama V. Viewers are also invited on a virtual tour of Bangkok 1899, a cultural hub housed in a recently restored heritage home in the city’s old town.

“EU Urban Heritage" also highlights the longstanding cultural ties and friendship between the European Union and Thailand.

Find out more about the series here.

And catch the new episode from 2 April onwards on the EUD’s Facebook and The Cloud’s Facebook, YouTube or website.
