Asst. Prof. Wanalee Klomjai, Ph.D.

Wanalee Klomjai is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Physical therapy, Mahidol University, Thailand. She received a Bachelor of science (Physiotherapy) from Mahidol University in 2008. After that, she went to France to continue her postgraduate studies. She received a Master of science, major in Re-education, Re-adaptation and Rehabilitation from Sorbonne University (University of Pierre and Marie Curie -Paris 6), Paris. During 2011-2014, she got a Franco-Thai scholarship for her Ph.D study in Neuroscience at Sorbonne University (University of Pierre and Marie Curie -Paris 6), Paris, under supervision of Dr. Rose KATZ, MD at the Neural Plasticity and Connectivity Lab, a lab unit of the Biomedical Imaging Lab, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris. After finishing her study, she came back to Thailand to work as a lecturer at the Faculty of Physical therapy, Mahidol University. Beside her teaching, she also works as a physiotherapist at the acute stroke unit, Siriraj hospital, Bangkok. She continues to do research in the neurophysiological domain, and focuses on brain stimulation and rehabilitation programs to help motor recovery in stroke patients. She always collaborates with the French research team at the lab where she did her thesis. During 2020-2021, she received a scholarship from the Franco-Thai Mobility Program/PHC Siam to strengthen her collaboration. This program allows her and her postgraduate students to join the lab activities in France.
