Niña Terol
Chief Marketing Officer and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Talino Venture Labs, U.S.
Niña is a communicator, connector, changemaker, and creative catalyst with over 20 years of professional, management, and leadership experience in the corporate, non-profit, government, education, media, and entrepreneurial sectors.
As a communicator, she has spent most of her career curating words, images, and ideas, and is a published journalist, author, and poet. Her work has been published by the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank-Manila Office, the US Agency for International Development (USAID), CNN, CNN Travel, Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia, and top Filipino titles such as the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Business Mirror, and Rappler, among many others. Among her career highlights include heading the communications teams of Philippine senators Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and Paolo Benign “Bam” Aquino IV, and helping her principals secure key victories in two national election campaigns.
As a connector and changemaker, Niña uses her gift for inspiring audiences across various mediums to champion ideas that incite action and positive change. She has led and supported various causes aligned with women, youth, civic engagement, and grassroots community empowerment, and has been known to be one of Manila’s young thought leaders on women empowerment, innovation, human-centered design, communications, and leadership. She is also a prolific public speaker, educator, and workshop facilitator, and has spoken at such prestigious events as TEDxManila (2010), Rappler/Mashable’s Social Good Summit (2012), PR Summit (2016), Hive Global Leaders Program (San Francisco, 2017), Emerging Leaders Summit (2018), and many other events in Manila, Hanoi, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur.
A creative catalyst, Niña helps design, launch, and sustain different brands for various audiences and verticals. She does this as the Chief Marketing Officer of Talino Venture Labs, a global venture studio for inclusive fintech that offers financial inclusion and access to underserved and underrepresented segments globally. Her portfolio includes: cross-border fintech BayaniPay, inclusive fintech Asenso, insurtech Saphron, regtech UNAWA, fintech for the Middle Eastern market, NeoTech; and other Talino-incubated ventures. She is also a mentor at WE Rise, an accelerator program for women-led enterprises; at the Global Innovation Alliance by Enterprise Singapore and Plug and Play APAC; and at Founder Institute, the world’s premier idea-stage startup accelerator.
She is also the founder of Girl, Make the First Move, a budding global movement empowering women and girls of all ages to make positive first moves in various areas of their lives; and and creator of Mindful Manila, an online community for mindful living in the metro.
