Montserrat Varas Roncero (MVR) is a MSc Chemical Engineer and has a Master in Leadership Program at the ESADE Business School. She is in charge of Energy and Industry Division in GHENOVA. She has with more than 20 years of experience in international EPC projects. During her career, she has served as Corporative Engineering Director of an EPC Company dedicated to Mining and Handling, Energy, Renewable and Oil and Gas Projects, with direct report to Business CEO / COO; leading a team of 150 people; managing 500.000 engineering hours per year of external support. Moreover, she has been International Project Director for Energy EPC Projects, which roles were to oversight the Projects as a profit center. Being the main interface with the client and each individual responsible for the project in the various areas: quality, cost, execution schedule, engineering, purchasing, construction and start-up. Identifying and managing the projects´ risks. Convening and leading the contract-awarding committees. Leading a team of about 100 people. Apart from the extensive management skills, She has an in-depth knowledge of technical aspects.
