Emmanuel Paradis is a senior researcher in IRD. He works on models of biological evolution and their applications to investigate the interactions between biodiversity, human populations, and sustainable development. He is a developer and contributor to several open-source software projects, including in bioinformatics and population genomics (http://ape-package.ird.fr).
