European Film Festival in Singapore

Singapore | 12-29 May 2022

The 31st European Film Festival in Singapore (EUFF) launches on 12 May 2022, bringing the best of European cinema to audiences across the island city-state.

The 18-day festival, hosted at independent cinema The Projector, will showcase a selection of big-budget and independent films that champion EU Member States' (EUMS) rich cultural heritage and spirit of diversity and inclusion.

Organised by the EU Delegation to Singapore, in association with EUMS and the Singapore Film Society, EUFF will again provide a platform to celebrate the dynamism of the country’s young filmmakers in tandem with the European Year of Youth in 2022. This year, students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Nanyang Technological University and LASALLE College of the Arts will exhibit a series of short films covering poignant social and cultural issues.

For more than 30 years, EUFF has played a vital role in fostering people-to-people cultural exchanges between Singapore and Europe. And with a longer run period than previous editions, more than 3,000 members of the general public – including cinephiles, young students and academics – are expected to attend this upcoming edition.
