The EU Delegation to Vietnam (EUD) is launching its campaign ‘Empowering Youth: Your Future is Our World’ on 17 August 2023. Running until 22 September 2023, it targets young people nationwide looking to upgrade their skills in the digital era.

Throughout the coming weeks, four tours will be organised to European businesses based in Vietnam’s northern and southern regions, along with one seminar exploring the implications of artificial intelligence (AI).

During the visits, business representatives will share their insights on the path ahead for a green and digital transition – a target that originated in Europe and is quickly catching on in Vietnam. The young participants will get to see for themselves the importance of acquiring skills that will contribute to their country’s competitiveness and sustainable development.

The seminar titled ‘Can AI Replace Human Skills?’ will address the concerns of the powerful tool transforming the job market and discuss skills that machines cannot replicate.

With this year being the European Year of Skills 2023, this campaign is planned with the goals of promoting a mindset of reskilling and upskilling and helping people acquire the right skills for quality jobs.
