CEU Universities form part of the Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU – the CEU San Pablo University Foundation. The Foundation is the largest privately-owned educational institution in Spain, and the only one which operates three universities. Founded in 1933 by the ACdP (Catholic Association of Propagandists), the foundation was established with the intention of making a positive impact on society through its educational centers. These centers provide training in the framework of a comprehensive educational experience while striving to impact society in favor of justice and the defense of all human beings. The institution’s objectives are rooted in its quest for achieving academic and professional excellence, innovation in its educational projects and teaching its students values and human virtues. The institution comprises 25 educational centers ranging from primary education to postgraduate degrees and vocational training. WHEN AND HOW CAN I APPLY TO THE CEU UNIVERSITIES?
The admission process for the academic year 2023/24 will open in November 2022.
IS AN AVERAGE GRADE REQUIRED TO ENTER?
No, in the admission criteria, not only the academic record is taken into account, but also the results of the entrance test: interview and knowledge test.
In those degrees that are in high demand, the selection processes are special, Medicine, Dentistry and International Programs, we recommend that you consult them on our website.
ARE THE DEGREES FROM THE CEU UNIVERSITIES OFFICIAL?
Yes, all the degrees are official, recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport and valid in the European Higher Education Area.
Degrees that qualify for practice in regulated professions, such as architecture, may require certain specific requirements in other countries, which derive from their own legislation.
WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY TO CEU UNIVERSITIES?
- Students who have studied in the educational systems of European Union countries or countries that have established agreements with Spain in this regard and meet the academic requirements of their educational systems to access their universities. These students will have to apply for the Credential of the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED).
- Students who have studied in educational systems not included in the previous paragraph will have to apply for a homologation of their studies to the Spanish baccalaureate from the Spanish
Ministry of Education.
IS A CERTAIN HIGH SCHOOL SPECIALISATION REQUIRED IN ORDER TO BE ACCEPTED TO A DEGREE?
To access our degrees, it is not necessary to have studied a certain high school specialization; but it is true that for the entrance exam, some options are more appropriate than others, due to the content of the exam.
WHAT ARE THE ECTS (EUROPEAN CREDIT TRANSFER SYSTEM)?
Among the measures taken for the creation of the European Higher Education Area is the establishment of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) in official undergraduate and graduate degrees.
In this system, the hours that the students dedicate to the study activity will be valued. In this activity, which will be between 25 and 30 hours per credit, the time dedicated to teaching hours, study hours, tutorials, seminars, works, practices, projects, as well as those required for the preparation and completion of exams, will be included.
The advantage of the ECTS credits is that, since they are the same unit of measurement in all of the universities of the new European Higher Education Area, it is much easier to compare the academic load of the degrees, facilitating student mobility and the recognition of studies.
DO THE STUDIES INCLUDE INTERNSHIPS?
All degrees include practical subjects in the study plan and some of them also include mandatory internships in companies (curricular internships).
TO HOW MANY SUBJECTS DO I HAVE TO ENROLL FOR THE FIRST YEAR?
In general, the student has to enroll for all the subjects of the first year.

Once a student enrolls at the CEU Universities, a tutor professor is assigned to him/her. If you have difficulties during your training, you can contact your tutor professor, who can guide you, help you improve your academic performance, and facilitate your participation in university life.
