Sanaki là dự án hợp tác giữa nhà soạn nhạc/nhà sản xuất/nghệ sĩ Trí Minh, cùng singer-songwriter người Iceland Disa Jakobs.

Đầu thập niên 1990, sau khi tốt nghiệp Nhạc viện Hà Nội, Trí Minh biểu diễn nhạc jazz cùng một vài nghệ sĩ trẻ khác tại Hà Nội, và không lâu sau đó bắt đầu khám phá âm nhạc điện tử. Trong những năm gần đây, Trí Minh được biết đến là một nhạc sĩ và nghệ sĩ âm thanh tiên phong, kết hợp âm nhạc điện tử với các lời ca và chất liệu âm nhạc truyền thống Việt Nam, cũng như đóng góp cho nhiều sắp đặt nghệ thuật và trình diễn. Anh cũng đã biểu diễn tại nhiều liên hoan và địa điểm âm nhạc có tiếng quanh khắp thế giới.

Singer-songwriter người Iceland Disa Jakobs bắt đầu dự án solo “Disa” khi rời Reykjavik đến định cư tại Copenhagen. Vũ trụ âm thanh của “Disa” được dẫn dắt bởi phần sản xuất âm nhạc gợi nhắc đến không khí lạnh lẽo của Bắc u, kết hợp cùng giọng ca trong trẻo ấm áp của Disa. Dự án tập trung vào khám phá và mở rộng ranh giới nhạc Pop, với nguồn cảm hứng đến từ thiên nhiên Scandinavia cũng như từ thực hành của các nghệ sĩ đương đại và alternative như Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Brian Eno và Fever Ray.

Sanaki is the collaborative project between Vietnamese composer/producer/musician Tri Minh, and Icelandic singer-songwriter Disa Jakobs.

Since the early 1990s, after graduating from Hanoi Conservatory of Music, Tri Minh started playing jazz music with various other young musicians in Hanoi. Before long he would make his foray into electronic music. In recent years Tri Minh has become renowned as an avant-garde musician and sound artist, merging electronics, electro sounds and programming with traditional Vietnamese music and lyrics, in combination with modern installations and performances. He has also performed in multiple venues and festivals all over the world.

Icelandic native singer-songwriter Disa Jakobs started her solo project “Disa” when leaving Reykjavik to reside in Copenhagen. “Disa” musical universe is driven by the cold electronic production and Disa’s warm and ethereal vocal. This project focuses on exploring and expanding the boundaries of pop music with inspiration not only from Scandinavian wild nature but also from contemporary and alternative artists the likes of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Brian Eno and Fever Ray.
