The EU Delegation to Vietnam (EUD) rolled out a social media campaign from 10 to 31 July 2020 to raise public awareness of the digital economy, its benefits for the country’s economic development and importance for the EU-Vietnam cooperation. The campaign was jointly promoted by a fan page of VTV24, Vietnam National Broadcasting Company and eight young Key Opinion Leaders.

The online competition “7 Days Going Digital Challenge” invited young professionals to post photos of themselves engaging in digital economic activities on their Facebook page. The top three winners were announced on EUD’s Facebook page on 16 August.

Meanwhile, the "Human Of Digital Age" social media storytelling series, featuring Vietnamese students in Europe, discussed how digital solutions could help tackle global issues like food waste, carbon emission reduction and improve labour efficiency.

Additional in-depth information products emphasising the EU’s role as a global actor in the digital economy were also produced, including an interview with the EU Ambassador in Vietnam to raise awareness of the EU's strong and active support for Vietnam's digital economy.
